Grace Covenant Church Chantilly is hosting an Intro to Adoption and Foster Care Class, a 5-week journey of learning, discussion, and reflection on God’s heart for children and families.

They will gather each Wednesday from 5:45 pm – 7:00 pm in the Grace Kids Cafe on the following dates:

• April 8, 2026

• April 15, 2026

• April 22, 2026

• April 29, 2026

• May 6, 2026

The class explores the biblical foundations of adoption and foster care through Scripture and hear firsthand from individuals who have been adopted, families who currently foster or have adopted children, and professionals who serve children in foster care.

This class is open to anyone who wants to better understand the church’s role in caring for vulnerable children and supporting families. Whether you feel called to foster or adopt, or simply want to learn how to serve and support, this class is for you.

Curt Thompson, MD, is a board certified psychiatrist, author, speaker, and co-host of The Being Known Podcast.  Through stories, neuroscience, and biblical reflections, Dr. Thompson will discuss how repairing even small ruptures can lead to greater resilience, beauty, and connection.

Open to all Project Belong volunteers, partners, and supporters - but especially helpful for church leaders, mentors, volunteers, and anyone walking alongside vulnerable families.

This training is a prerequisite for those interested in becoming Mentor Individuals and Mentor Families in the Don’t Go Alone program. It will be a one-session, in-person event lasting from 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM on Saturday, March 14.

Cultivate Connection is a parenting cohort for parents of children who’ve experienced trauma. It is a 9-session virtual cohort designed to offers practical tools, compassionate guidance, and a strong community for families who are walking this road.

The Care Community Clinic is divided into 2 sections:

WHO IS THIS FOR?
Anyone interested in starting a new ministry at their church. Learn how to care for vulnerable kids and their families through a step-by-step model called Family Advocacy Ministries (FAMs)!

WHAT DOES THIS COURSE INCLUDE?
This 1 hour-long webinar is ideal for a Point Person or anyone leading a FAM Activity at their church. The teaching is not centered on any one activity, but helps Advocates understand essential concepts, create awareness, and recruit volunteers. FAM Basics does not require any pre-work, but we do recommend Advocates view Intro to FAM to have some foundational knowledge.
