Pure Religion Sunday

A Sunday to help your church live out God's call to care for vulnerable children and families.

An opportunity to pause, pray, and consider how God may be inviting your church to respond.

What is Pure Religion Sunday?

James 1:27 reminds us that caring for vulnerable children and families is an expression of our faith.

Pure Religion Sunday gives your church an intentional opportunity to bring this calling before your congregation — through preaching, prayer, storytelling, and practical opportunities to respond. Observed on the second Sunday in November or throughout the year, Pure Religion Sunday encourages churches to engage deeply in foster care, adoption, global orphan care and wrap-around family support — as a foundational piece of living as disciples of Jesus.
