OUR GOAL
To walk through the applications of trauma-informed parenting in your day-to-day life. These cohorts are designed for connection, hands-on insight, and supportive community among others who understand the unique challenges—and joys—of parenting children who have experienced trauma.
HOSTED BY
Rachal Pollard, Project Belong, Director of Trauma Informed Care. (rpollard@projectbelongva.org)
As a foster and adoptive parent, Rachal has spent the last 14 years advocating for families and children touched by foster care and adoption. She has five children. Two are adopted: one from foster care and one privately adopted as a teen. With her desire to support other families who love and care for children from hard places, she has spent the last ten years learning how to care for children affected by trauma and help them heal from their past hurts. Her goal as a coach and trainer for parents, caregivers, and other community members is to create places of healing for children that is careful not to cause any further harm.
